Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Zenic application and website at zenic.app("Service"), operated by Zenic ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Zenic cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain account security.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • One person or legal entity may maintain no more than one free account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Use the Service to store or transmit content that infringes on the rights of others
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Free Tier

The free tier provides access to core features including up to 3 financial goals, 50 expense entries per month, a basic dashboard, and goal timers. No payment information is required.

Pro Tier

The Pro tier is available at $9.99/month or $99/year and includes unlimited goals and expenses, receipt scanning with AI OCR, AI-powered insights and analysis, data export, priority support, and advanced analytics.

Family Tier

The Family tier is available at $14.99/month or $149/year and includes everything in Pro plus the ability to add up to 5 family members under one subscription.

Billing Terms

  • All paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe.
  • You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
  • Downgrading may cause loss of access to features or data capacity associated with higher tiers.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact legal@zenic.app for refund requests.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Zenic and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to the data you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

5. AI-Generated Content

Certain features of Zenic use artificial intelligence (including Anthropic's language models and Google Cloud Vision) to provide insights, calculations, and data extraction. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional financial advice. You acknowledge that AI outputs may contain errors and that you are solely responsible for decisions made based on this information.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zenic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Zenic is not a financial advisor, and the Service does not constitute financial advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Account deletion follows a 30-day grace period, after which all data is permanently deleted.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
